Matt was born in Sandy UT and lived there for the first 19 years of his life.  Subsequently he has lived in Sweden (yes he speaks Swedish), Houston TX, Albuquerque NM, Denver Co and then back to South Jordan about 21 years ago. He married up to a great lady named Louise and they have 5 children who are all married and one of them is expecting their 13^th grandchild.  He loves to travel, garden and collect rocks.  He also loves most sports and played Baseball in High school at Jordan High.

After working for RadioShack for over 25 years, he made a career change and went to work as an insurance agency owner with American Family Insurance.  He has been an agency owner for 12 years now and loves to make sure his clients are properly protected with their home and auto coverage.  He also works closely with One Heart Charity who helps orphans across the world.  Most recently he visited an orphanage in Addis Abba in Ethiopia to help bring them school supplies.  He served on the Chamber board for 4 years and then left for a few and am back now ready to serve the businesses in South Jordan to help them succeed.
